@Qitkat: Hi! I assume you'll see this, not sure if I should use this or the message thing. In any case, thinking of you. Hope you're feeling better, you mentioned you'd been ill, which on top of a broken wrist has got to be more than anyone needs to deal with.formerlyAnon (Jane)February 2015
Jane, how very nice of you to ask. It's been a rough couple of weeks. The good news is that I got the cast off this past Wednesday. I came down with such a bad cold and coughing which somehow lead to a serious asthma attack about 12 days ago I had to get a breathing treatment, 10 days of prednisone 40 mg/day and 5 days of antibiotics. I've had very very mild adult asthma controlled completely with daily inhalers but my system got overwhelmed, and I was gasping for breath. First such attack in my adult life that I can remember. I am doing much better now but my gut is unhappy so am on probiotics and a bland diet with live yogurt cultures to hopefully heal myself.
PS. I don't know where this will show up for you. I don't know how to comment on yours or anyone's wall.
formerlyAnonI got to your wall by clicking on @Qitkat where it appears in red anywhere on the discussion pages. Supposedly I have my "Notifications" set to notify me (a number shows up next to the earth icon above) if someone replies to my wall post, but I saw this because of you posting in the discussion forum. Maybe notifications only happen if someone replies to a post on my wall, not one on their wall??
We'll figure this out!
Hope you will be feeling better soon. All of that sounds like the most frustrating kind of interruptions-to-living, with the little added spice of brief actual medical emergencies thrown in. Spring is coming! That's my latest battle cry.
